It focuses on the experiences of African American, Asian American, Latina and Latino American, and Native American artists and the artwork they have produced from the colonial era to the present day. Students will examine artists' anti-racist and anti-colonial strategies to assert agency and effect change through the creation and display of their art, in both historical and contemporary contexts.
