Awarding of Degrees

Students seeking to earn an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree at Golden West College must meet the requirements

1. Completion of General Education Requirements 
2. Completion of a Major or Area of Emphasis—a minimum of 18 units. 
3. Completion of 60-degree applicable units with a 2.0 grade point average in all coursework completed.
4. At least 12 units completed at GWC.
5. Completion of additional requirements for the particular degree as outlined by the requirements set forth in this catalog. 

Students are not permitted to acquire duplicate Associate Degrees in the same major, within the Coast Community College District.
