Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Under this Act, students attending an institution of higher learning become an adult when it comes to their educational records at that institution. It is the policy of the Coast Community College District, in accordance with FERPA, to not release/discuss a student’s records without the signed release from the student, regardless of age, authorizing the release of that information to anyone except the student.

Registration Calendar

The academic year is divided into four sessions: fall semester, extending from end-August through December; intersession, the month of January (if available); spring semester, from February through May; and summer session, from approximately June through mid-August. On-campus classes may be taught between the hours 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, some Saturday classes may be offered on a limited basis.
