This course builds students' receptive and expressive skills in ASL and fingerspelling as well as their knowledge of Deaf culture. Graded or Pass/No Pass option.

This course is an introduction to the American Deaf culture experience. Areas of study include the history and description of deafness, the Deaf community, Deaf education and the arts and language of the Deaf.
