The OCC Bookstore provides all required textbooks and supplies for students and faculty and also offers general interest books, greeting cards, gifts, Pirate clothing and general merchandise to accommodate the needs of the campus community.

Software titles are available at www.thinkedu.com and are educationally discounted up to 85%.

Returns

Textbooks: A full refund will be given in the original form of payment if textbooks are returned during the first week of classes with original receipt. With proof of a schedule change and original receipt, a full refund will be given in original form of payment during the first 30 days of classes. Textbooks must be returned in original condition. Unwrapped loose-leaf books and activated eBooks are non-returnable.

General Reading Books, Software, Audio, Video, and Small Electronics: A full refund will be given in your original form of payment if merchandise is returned within 14 days and with original receipt. Opened software and small electronics may not be returned. They can be exchanged for the same item if defective.

All Other Merchandise: A full refund will be given in your original form of payment with the original receipt.

Buyback of Textbooks

The bookstore will buyback textbooks during finals week if there is a book order for the next term from the professor and copies are needed. Students should bring their textbooks back to the bookstore at the end of the semester to receive up to 50% cashback. 

Books must include all original material and a Student ID or identification may be required at the time of buyback.

Textbook Rentals

Renting is easy and cost-effective. A majority of textbooks are available to rent. All book returns are subject to specific guidelines. Students must adhere to all book return policies. When shopping for textbooks in-store, the course information tag displays a “Rental” option as well as New and Used options.

Students must be 18 years of age or older and provide a telephone number, government-issued ID, email address, and a personal credit card at the time of purchase. All accepted forms of payment may be used to pay for textbook rentals.

Students may register their email address to receive reminder notices when their rental due date approaches.

Price Match

The bookstore will price match Amazon.com, BN.com if the title(s) meet the following:

• The exact textbook – same edition, format, rental term and ISBN
• One copy, per title, per customer
• Titles must be in stock on competitor’s website or we cannot price match.

The bookstore will not match if the titles are:

• Digital textbooks or access codes
• Special orders
• New rentals
• Peer-to-peer pricing
• Online Marketplaces
• Titles listed on Amazon that are not “rented by” or “shipped and sold by” Amazon are excluded
