Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA)

The Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program supports first-generation and low-income students pursuing STEM majors by providing academic resources, counseling, professional development, and community to help students succeed and transfer to four-year institutions.

MESA is designed for students who:

  • Are first-generation college students
  • Receive financial aid (FAFSA or Dream Act application on file)
  • Are pursuing a calculus-based STEM major
  • Plan to transfer to a four-year institution and earn their first bachelor’s degree

MESA students have access to:

  • Dedicated study and community space in the MESA Center
  • STEM counseling and academic support
  • Tutoring and guided study sessions
  • Workshops, guest speakers, and professional development opportunities
  • Internship and research information
  • Computer access, study aids, and loaner equipment
  • Free printing and other academic resources

The MESA Center provides a supportive environment where students can build community, strengthen academic skills, and prepare for success in STEM education and careers.
