Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA)
The Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program supports first-generation and low-income students pursuing STEM majors by providing academic resources, counseling, professional development, and community to help students succeed and transfer to four-year institutions.
MESA is designed for students who:
- Are first-generation college students
- Receive financial aid (FAFSA or Dream Act application on file)
- Are pursuing a calculus-based STEM major
- Plan to transfer to a four-year institution and earn their first bachelor’s degree
MESA students have access to:
- Dedicated study and community space in the MESA Center
- STEM counseling and academic support
- Tutoring and guided study sessions
- Workshops, guest speakers, and professional development opportunities
- Internship and research information
- Computer access, study aids, and loaner equipment
- Free printing and other academic resources
The MESA Center provides a supportive environment where students can build community, strengthen academic skills, and prepare for success in STEM education and careers.
