The Children’s Center
The Harry and Grace Steele Children’s Center is a unique and comprehensive child development program that offers child care for student parents enrolled at OCC, faculty, staff, and the community.
The Associated Students of Orange Coast College, other funded programs through the California Department of Education (CDE), and parent fees fund the Children’s Center. The Children’s Center serves children ages 15 months to 5 years throughout the year.
Student-parents must pay the college service charge and enroll in coursework before registering their children based on availability. Subsidized child care services are available for student parents who qualify under other subsidized programs, such as, CalWORKs, the CDE-Alternative Payment Program (A/P) qualifications offered by the Children's Home Society. Full-cost openings also are available for faculty, staff, and the community.
Check the OCC website for hours of operation. The Children’s Center is located on Merrimac Way, on the west side of Parking Lot D.
