This course teaches principles of word building to develop the extensive medical vocabulary used in the healthcare environment. It provides instruction in basic medical terminology, analysis from an anatomical approach and by each body system. It includes the origin, root forms, suffixes, prefixes of medical terms, and an example of non-medical/layperson's usage for each term. Graded. C-ID: HIT 103X.
