Beginning journalists will acquire the skills to write practical news stories under deadline pressure with a focus on accuracy, balance, and style. This course is for any student enrolled in the student newspaper and will help them understand the issue of social media as a vital part of news gathering and reporting. The course will allow journalism students to create and maintain both a professional personal presence on social media as well as work to maintain the paper's presence on social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
