This program is designed to help English Language Learners develop the English skills necessary to for the U.S. citizenship interview. The courses focus on developing students' language skills and understanding of American history, laws, government, and civic expectations.
Program Outcomes
- Students will show increased ability to apply English pronunciation rules, active listening techniques and knowledge of non-verbal cues in one-one-one conversations.
- Students will demonstrate basic understanding of U.S. history, government, and geography..
Certificate of Competency
A certificate in a recognized career field articulated with degree-applicable coursework, completion of an associate degree, or transfer to a baccalaureate institution.
