This program is designed for English language learners with at least an intermediate English proficiency level wanting to develop the English skills necessary to obtain and/ or advance their possibilities in the American workplace. The courses will focus on developing students' language skills, knowledge of the American workplace, post-secondary opportunities to advance in the workplace, and cross-cultural expectations of U.S. working environments.
Program Outcome
- Students will demonstrate English proficiency to enter or advance in the workplace.
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of the American cultural workplace expectations.
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of the opportunities afforded by the U.S. postsecondary educational system applicable to career advancement.
Certificate of Competency
A certificate in a recognized career field articulated with degree-applicable coursework, completion of an associate degree, or transfer to a baccalaureate institution.
