This program is designed for English language learners with at least an intermediate English proficiency level wanting to develop the English skills necessary to obtain and/ or advance their possibilities in the American workplace. The courses will focus on developing students' language skills, knowledge of the American workplace, post-secondary opportunities to advance in the workplace, and cross-cultural expectations of U.S. working environments.

Program Outcome

1. Students will demonstrate English proficiency to enter or advance in the workplace.
2. Students will demonstrate knowledge of the American cultural workplace expectations. 
3. Students will demonstrate knowledge of the opportunities afforded by the U.S. postsecondary educational system applicable to career advancement. 

Certificate of Competency

A certificate in a recognized career field articulated with degree-applicable coursework, completion of an associate degree, or transfer to a baccalaureate institution.
