Economics
The primary mission of the economics department is to provide a transfer education curriculum in economics for students majoring in business, social sciences, and other fields. Additionally, classes provide students a chance to explore the basic principles, thought, problems, and history of the American and international economies. The economics curriculum increases consumer skills and the awareness of individuals regarding consumer problems in the economy.
Students who study and major in economics often go on to pursue careers in finance, banking, consulting, and business. In addition, economics students often find careers in the public sector in various government agencies.
