Culinary Arts
This program teaches culinary arts: the art and science of food preparation and presentation. Culinarians are required to have knowledge and skill in food preparation techniques, sanitation, culinary management, and nutrition, and are responsible for preparing meals that are as pleasing to the eye as to the palate. The Culinary Department provides students with Associates Degrees in Advanced Culinary Arts, and Advanced Baking and Pastry as well as Occupational Certificates and career and technical education. Our Advanced Culinary and Advanced Baking and Pastry Certificates and Associate in Science Degrees are accredited by the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC).
