The Pharmacy Technician program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a career as a pharmacy technician in a variety of healthcare settings. This program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines theoretical coursework with hands-on training to prepare students for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) and to meet industry standards. Students will gain proficiency in medication preparation, pharmacy law, ethics, drug classifications, pharmaceutical calculations, and pharmacy operations. This program is noncredit (zero units) and tuition-free.

Program Outcomes:

1.Prepare for employment as Pharmacy Technician by developing proficiency in the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors necessary for safe medication management, patient communication, pharmacy operations, and medication preparation in diverse healthcare settings. 
2. Prepare to successfully pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) by applying theoretical knowledge and practical skills in medication management, patient communication, and pharmacy safety procedures.
