The courses in Basic Skills create a foundation for subsequent courses required for an AA, AS degree or CTE program. Continuing study in math will prepare students for a wide range of careers in technology, the health field, education, research, engineering and business.
Program Outcomes
- Perform operations on real numbers and algebraic expressions.
- Translate real life problems into algebraic expressions or equations and simplify or solve.
A certificate in a recognized career field articulated with degree-applicable coursework, completion of an associate degree, or transfer to a baccalaureate institution.
