The Drone Videography Certificate of Achievement program is a Career Technical Ed specialty, designed for the student who has completed the Basic Drone Imaging Skills Certificate of Achievement and is interested in building skills to an intermediate level in the field of Drone imaging with an emphasis in the use of drones in the video industry. It has been designed to prepare students for employment as a UAS image capture specialist with FAA Part 107 Pilot license certification.Students will be able to design and execute drone projects utilizing principles of visual communication and video editing for employment in the field of Drone Imaging. Students will be able to deploy and pilot UAS while capturing appropriate imagery for a variety of industries. Students will be prepared for entry level positions as a drone videographer.

Program Outcomes

  1. Students will be able to design and execute drone projects utilizing principles of visual communication and video editing for employment in the field of Drone Imaging.
  2. Students will be able to deploy and pilot UAS while capturing appropriate imagery for a variety of industries. Students may seek employment as a producer, production assistant, content creator, director, videographer, and visual communicator. Students will be prepared for entry-level positions a as drone videographer.
