The Drone Photography Certificate of Achievement program is a Career Technical Ed specialty, designed for the student who has completed the Basic Drone Imaging Skills Certificate of Achievement and is interested in building skills to an intermediate level in the field of Drone imaging with an emphasis in the use of drones in the photographic industry. It has been designed to prepare students for employment as a UAS image capture specialist with FAA Part 107 Pilot license certification. Students will be building knowledge and experience in the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems and business practices, to prepare for careers in photography, videography, and post-production editing. Required Pre-Requisites: Basic Drone Imaging Skills Certificate of Achievement.
Program Outcomes
- Students will be able to design and execute drone projects utilizing principles of visual communication and post-production editing.
- Students will be able to deploy and pilot UAS while capturing appropriate imagery for various industries. Students may seek employment as a producer, production assistant, content creator, director, photographer, and visual communicator. Students will be prepared for entry level positions as a drone photographer.
