This program prepares students for careers as automotive service technicians. The curriculum aligns with the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification areas A6 automotive electrical and A7 automotive heating and air conditioning. This prepares students for employment in advanced levels diagnostics. Upon completion of this program, students will have developed the skills required to diagnose and repair automotive HVAC related systems.
Program Level Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
1. Diagnose HVAC related system concerns using industry accepted diagnostic tools and equipment.
2. Assess HVAC performance concerns using precision measuring tools and comparing finding to published manufacturer's specifications.
3. Perform a HVAC system repair procedure utilizing published Service Information (SI) procedures.

- Public transportation and maintenance
- Marine repair
- Automotive aftermarket industry
