Engine Performance Specialist, Certificate of Achievement
This program is designed to prepare students for careers as automotive service technicians. The curriculum aligns with the ASE certification areas A6 Automotive Electrical, A8 Engine Performance, and L1 Automotive Advanced Engine Performance. This prepares students for employment in advanced level diagnostics. Upon completion of this program, students will have developed the skills required to diagnose and repair fuel and emissions related systems.
Program Level Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Diagnose drivability and emission systems using industry accepted diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Assess drivability and emission related input/output values using diagnostic tools and comparing findings to published manufacturer's specifications.
- Perform an emission system repair procedure utilizing published manufactures's Service Information (SI) procedures.
