Course Description
This course provides instruction and supervised participation in theatre rehearsal and performance of a stage musical. Students will gain practical acting and singing experience at a beginning level. Enrollment eligibility is based on a successful audition; this requirement will be validated by the instructor during the first week of enrollment. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC

- Collaborate as an ensemble/chorus member with students and faculty in the rehearsal and performance of a stage musical.
Course Objectives
- 1. Evaluate and analyze a script for rehearsal and performance
- 2. Create and dramatize the behavioral life of an ensemble/chorus character in rehearsal and performance of a stage musical.
- 3. Apply basic level skills and methods to performing a musical role onstage
- 4. Demonstrate a strong work ethic within a professional framework of collaboration
- 5. Recognize and demonstrate their collaborative responsibilities as an ensemble/chorus member with the director, musical director, choreographer, actors and crew in rehearsal and performance
