Course Description

Formerly: Elementary Spanish. This course is designed for students who have no prior knowledge or have minimal knowledge of the Spanish language. Students will focus on mastery of grammar fundamentals while developing the four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This course is equivalent to two years of high school Spanish. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC: Corresponds to two years of high school study; Credit Limitation: SPAN G160 and SPAN G180 combined: maximum credit, 1 course. C-ID: SPAN 100. C-ID: SPAN 100.

Eligible Disciplines

Foreign languages: Masters degree in the language being taught OR bachelors degree in the language being taught AND masters degree in another language or linguistics OR the equivalent. Masters degree required.
