Course Description

Basic landscape drafting practices, lettering, line work, symbols, sheet composition and dimensioning. Transfer Credit: CSU.

  1. Draft and sketch symbols and textures while properly using drafting equipment.
  2. Transfer written information to a drafted drawing using an architect's scale.

Course Objectives

  • 1. Identify and properly use basic drafting equipment.
  • 2. Draft lines of different weight.
  • 3. Draft and sketch symbols and textures.
  • 4. Accurately use an architects scale.
  • 5. Properly transfer house/ site measurements to a scaled drawing
  • 6. Use color to enhance textures and symbols
