Course Description

This noncredit course is the practicum portion of NURS G051N. Emphasis will be placed on the demonstration of vital sign assessments, safe use of mobility devices, and proper body mechanic techniques while caring for the elderly patient population. Ten of the twenty lab hours may be completed off-site under supervision. PREREQUISITE: NURS G050N. COREQUISITE: NURS G051N. NOT DEGREE APPLICABLE. Not Transferable.

Eligible Disciplines

Nursing: Masters degree in nursing OR bachelors degree in nursing AND masters degree in health education or health science OR the equivalent OR the minimum qualifications as set by the Board of Registered Nursing, whichever is higher. Masters degree required.
