Course Description

This course is an introduction to the study, rehearsal, and public performance of literature appropriate to jazz and pop vocal ensembles, with an emphasis on the development of skills needed to perform within an ensemble, as well as a soloist. Different literature will be studied each semester. Choice of ensemble is based on each student's voice and level. Also covered are healthy vocal techniques, approach to vocal styles, and song interpretation.
