Course Description
For those with no previous music theory background. Fundamentals of music including key signatures, intervals, chords, 7th chords, and functional harmony. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC: Credit Limitation: No credit for MUS A115 if taken after MUS A180.

Course Objectives
- I Develop a foundation in the basic terminology and concepts of music theory including:

- I. 7. Functional harmony
- II Develop proficiency in elementary rhythms.
