Course Description

This course is designed to support students with diverse learning needs as they enhance their learning strategies. It offers a comprehensive approach to developing proficiency in these strategies while addressing the unique challenges associated with specific learning differences. Students will integrate these strategies to improve in their math classes. NOT DEGREE APPLICABLE. Not Transferable.

Lecture Content

Learning Styles: Definition of learning styles Identify students learning styles Learning Strategies: Apply time management strategies affectively in math class. Apply appropriate note-taking strategies in a math class. Apply memory strategies for formulas and procedures. Apply active learning strategy in a math class. Apply problem-solving strategies when solving for math problems. Manage testing anxiety and apply test-taking strategy in exams. Research and apply online resources.
