Course Description
Preparation for the California State Contractor Examination in any classification. Includes state license law, civil code, civil procedure, labor law, contract law, and asbestos regulations. Transfer Credit: CSU.
Course Level Student Learning Outcome(s)
- Describe the history and purpose of the California State license law and the development of the three contractor classifications.
- Describe the Contractor's State License Board and the Registrar's influence and control on contractors.
- Identify the civil code, the labor code and contract law and their respective influences on a contractor's activities.

- 3. Discuss the legislative influences on contractors.
- 4. Discuss the Department of Consumer Affairs.
