Course Description

Preparation for the California State Contractor Examination in any classification. Includes state license law, civil code, civil procedure, labor law, contract law, and asbestos regulations. Transfer Credit: CSU.

Course Level Student Learning Outcome(s)

  1. Describe the history and purpose of the California State license law and the development of the three contractor classifications.
  2. Describe the Contractor's State License Board and the Registrar's influence and control on contractors.
  3. Identify the civil code, the labor code and contract law and their respective influences on a contractor's activities.
