Course Description

The Jamf Training Foundation course introduces students to the essential skills needed to set up, configure, secure, and manage Apple devices using Jamf Pro and Jamf Protect; Students will gain experience with device enrollment, configuration, app deployment, compliance management, and security standards; Content is aligned with Jamf certification exams, preparing students for industry-recognized credentials ADVISORY: CHT A080N or concurrent enrollment. Not Transferable.

Course Level Student Learning Outcome(s)

  1. Setup Apple devices and complete basic management tasks with Jamf Pro.
  2. Secure Apple devices and implement basic safeguarding standards with Jamf Protect.
  3. Enroll Apple devices, create groups, deploy content, and configure device settings with Jamf Pro.

Demonstration of Critical Thinking

Students will evaluate and apply strategies for configuring, managing, and securing Apple devices using Jamf Pro, analyzing scenarios to determine effective solutions for deployment, compliance, and threat prevention.

Required Writing, Problem Solving, Skills Demonstration

Students will complete short reflections or responses that explain device management concepts and justify configuration or deployment choices. Students will troubleshoot simulated issues with Apple devices or Jamf Pro workflows, identifying causes and proposing effective solutions. Students will perform hands-on tasks such as configuring settings, enrolling devices, deploying apps, or applying security policies within Jamf Pro.
