Course Description

This course explores accounting and how it is used by investors, creditors, and other stakeholders to make decisions. It covers the accounting information system, the accounting cycle, recording and reporting of business transactions, application of generally accepted accounting principles, and preparation of financial statements. The course also examines issues relating to asset, liability, and equity valuation, revenue and expense recognition, cash flow, internal controls, and ethics. C-ID: ACCT 110.
