Students in ENGL C098N Writing Sentences to Paragraphs study grammar, sentence structure, parts of speech, punctuation, style, and syntax. Students in ENGL C099N Writing Paragraphs to Essays build upon the skills in C098N and write paragraphs and short essays in various modes. Students in ENGL C080N Composition Support are enrolled concurrently in transfer-level courses and receive skills-based guidance and affective support to help them bolster their writing in those courses. There are no skills prerequisites for the three English noncredit courses, which may be taken concurrently, sequentially, or out of sequence.
